Mahogany may be polished to a high luster, if desired. | Mahogany is a dense hardwood with a hardness measure comparable to fir (Douglas Fir 710 lbs, Genuine Mahogany 800 lbs**). Dent resistance with furniture-grade finish properties. Tightly interwoven grain resists splintering, accepts detailed profiling and holds fasteners solidly.
